Teach4Good is a New Jersey student-run organization that provides affordable, quality tutoring services to students of all backgrounds. Our mission is to make education accessible and equitable. Through our unique approach, we used funds from our services for impactful community projects, such as supply drives and scholarships.

Our Mission

  • Our standard rate is $20/hour for all students. Every dollar supports community initiatives, including improving education and supporting disadvantaged families.

  • We usually tutor in the Fort Lee Public Library, and virtual tutoring via Google Meets. In-home tutoring services are also a possibility, depending on the location.

  • We’re experienced in a diverse range of school topics including English, mathematics, social studies, and science. Our advanced tutors can also help with BCA exam preparation and SAT/ACT standardized testing.

  • We have tutors available across K-12th grade.

Community Events

5k Color Run w/ the
Youth Council of Fort Lee

Raising awareness and funds to support organizations that empower individuals with disabilities:

We're excited to share that our sponsorship of the Youth Council of Fort Lee has played an important role in bringing this year's local 5k Color Run to life. We are proud to share that with our support, the 2024 YCFL Color Run raised over $30,000 for cancer research.

School No. 4 PTA Carnival

We sponsored the annual School 4 PTA-organized Carnival, where all proceeds were directly donated to the students at Fort Lee School No. 4. The funds were used for funding class trips, supplying teachers with essential school supplies, and renovating classrooms.

Supporting the schools and students in our local community:

School Supply Drive w/ Jersey Cares

Providing schools and students with tools for success:

We partnered with Jersey Cares to donate over 900 essential school supplies, which were distributed to New Jersey students through 501(c) organizations and low-income public schools. With 31% of students currently unable to afford necessary supplies, Teach4Good is committed to providing the resources needed for them to focus on learning.

Food Drive w/ the
Center for Food Action

Helping the community thrive by providing families with essential goods:

We donated over 200 food items and other essential goods to the Center for Food Action, a nonprofit organization “that provides emergency services to northern New Jersey’s poorest and most vulnerable residents.” All proceeds went directly to families in need in the area.

Book Drive w/ the
Bridge of Books Foundation

Fostering a love of reading and access to books for kids in need:

We donated 400 books to the Bridge of Books Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to books for children across New Jersey. This effort supported schools and organizations serving underserved communities, ensuring that more young readers had the resources they needed to discover the joy of reading and enhance their learning.

Teach4Good Fort Lee Community Scholarship

We awarded $1,500 in scholarships to student winners across elementary, middle, and high schools through the Fort Lee Community Scholarship. Each scholarship was earned through an essay contest open to any Fort Lee student, encouraging them to share their ideas and accomplishments to grow our community. We are proud to support these young learners and invest in their educational growth and achievement.
